Job summary

Holy Cross Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse – NICU for the Level III NICU at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. The role involves delivering specialized nursing care to critically ill infants, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and supporting families through high-risk deliveries and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate degree required; BSN/MSN preferred).
• Current RN license with the Maryland Board of Nursing or a Compact State.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association; additional life support per unit requirements.
• NICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill and premature infants.
• Collaborate with Neonatologists, Pediatricians, Respiratory Therapists, and Social Workers.
• Attend high-risk deliveries (e.g., multiple gestation, meconium, congenital anomalies).
• Administer medications, manage IV lines, and operate ventilators/CPAP.
• Educate families on infant care and support discharge readiness.
• Chart using Cerner EMR (transitioning to EPIC).

What You Will Do

Pay rate

$37.88 – $54.19
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
