Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City seeks a Clinical Nurse in Subspecialty Medicine Office Practice to join our ambulatory care team. You will support clinicians, assess patients, and manage symptoms across Infectious Disease, Renal, Geriatrics, Cardiology and Pulmonary services.

Requirements: NYS RN license and BSN, BLS, and 1.5–2 years of clinical nursing experience; oncology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• New York State RN license and BSN are required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1.5–2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• Oncology clinical experience preferred in subspecialty services or ambulatory care.

Responsibilities

• Function in reciprocal Nurse-Physician based ambulatory care practice model.

Join our team as a Clinical Nurse in Subspecialty Medicine Office Practice. We're looking for a dynamic nursing professional eager to showcase compassionate, evidence-based nursing care skills and make a meaningful impact on our department. Our practice includes servicesin Infectious Disease, Allergy, Renal, Geriatrics, Cardiology, and Pulmonary.

Role Overview:

• Function in reciprocal Nurse-Physician based Ambulatory Care Practice Model.
• Provide clinical support to staff members and assist with management of a caseload of patients receiving medical treatment.
• Perform patient assessment and provide symptom management.
• Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment and follow-up.
• Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure efficient care throughout the healthcare continuum.

Key Qualifications:

• New York State RN license and BSN
• BLS Required
• 1.5 – 2 years Clinical Nurse experience required
• Oncology clinical experience preferred in any of the subspecialty services: Infectious Disease, Allergy, Renal, Geriatrics, Cardiology and Pulmonary; or Ambulatory Care.

Additional Information:

• Hours: Per Diem working shift is a 10 Hour flex from Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm. No Weekends and No Holidays. Per Diem schedule is 4-6 work-shift per quarter.
• Location: Koch Pavillion and/or 53rd Street location.
• Reports to: Nurse Leader.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $170.00 FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
