Job summary

The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health) in Webster, TX seeks a Registered Nurse for the ED/unit setting. The role requires current Texas RN licensure, BLS, and six months of clinical RN experience, with ACLS & PALS/ENPC required and TNCC to be obtained within six months of hire.

Advanced Beginner Clinician will provide patient care per Texas Nurse Practice Act, support hospital goals, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, culturally competent care.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Texas and current BLS required.
• ACLS & PALS/ENPC certifications are required.
• Non-experienced ED nurses must obtain TNCC within 6 months from hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and document daily patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Provide patient education and family teaching using Teach-Back.
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safety and quality.
• Demonstrate clinical leadership and adherence to UTMB policies.
