Overview

Memorial Hospital Belleville offers medical and surgical services, critical and emergency care, including pediatric emergency care. It is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital. It is also recognized as a Lung Cancer Screening Center and has Magnet recognition for nursing excellence.

Memorial Hospital Shiloh provides emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services, and critical care, also with Magnet status.

Specialized care includes cardiac catheterizations, implantable defibrillators, pacemaker insertions, and more.

Role Purpose

Provides direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.

Responsibilities

1. Promote patient and family-centered care; educate on illness management, post-treatment care, and medications.
2. Participate in safety, quality, and compliance activities; engage in professional development.
3. Develop, implement, and document care plans in collaboration with the care team, patients, and families.
4. Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and barriers.
5. This is a safety-sensitive position; alertness and safety are essential.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Experience: None required
• Licenses & Certifications: RN license

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Experience in telemetry
