Job summary

Under supervision, you will provide professional nursing care to patients in an assigned unit, using nursing methods to diagnose and address health problems and to support patients’ well-being.

Minimum qualifications include a valid NYS RN license and current AHA BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Holds, or obtains through facility orientation, a valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit under supervision.
• Diagnoses and treats responses to actual or potential health problems by nursing methods such as health teaching and counseling.
• Develops, implements and evaluates the nursing regimen for patients; maintains care plans and progress notes.
• Interprets patient responses to the health team and participates in interdisciplinary planning of care.
