Job description

The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is a field-based clinical education professional who supports healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams caring for patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH), with a primary focus on YUTREPIA® (treprostinil) inhalation powder.

Across the Western region of the United States, the CNE partners with PH centers, specialty practices, and hospital teams to provide clinical education, strengthen competency in YUTREPIA administration and inhalation technique, support staff onboarding and clinical workflows, and share field insights with Medical Affairs and cross-functional partners.

Job responsibilities
Clinical Education and PH Center Support:
  • Build trusted relationships with multidisciplinary PH care teams.
  • Deliver educational programs, in-services, competency training, and clinical refreshers.
  • Support onboarding of clinical staff and train-the-trainer initiatives.
  • Tailor approved education to clinical roles, experience levels, and institutional workflows.
  • Provide PH disease-state education consistent with Medical Affairs strategy.
YUTREPIA Education and Administration Competency:
  • Educate healthcare professionals on YUTREPIA preparation, handling, administration, inhalation technique, labeled dosing, titration, and tolerability considerations.
  • Help clinical teams teach, assess, and reinforce appropriate inhalation technique with patients.
  • Identify recurring education or administration gaps and collaborate with CNE management and Medical Affairs on appropriate solutions.
  • Support repeatable institutional workflows for YUTREPIA education, initiation, and reinforcement.
Care Coordination and Field Insights:
  • Connect healthcare teams with appropriate Liquidia, Specialty Pharmacy, Market Access, Medical Information, field medical, or other resources for needs outside the CNE's scope.
  • Route patient-specific clinical concerns and unsolicited medical questions to the appropriate resources.
  • Capture and communicate insights on clinical education needs, administration challenges, institutional workflows, and gaps in PH care.
  • Participate in Medical Affairs planning and provide feedback to help improve educational programs and resources.
Program Execution and Compliance:
  • Support regional and national educational initiatives, professional meetings, congresses, and nursing programs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of PH management, YUTREPIA labeling, clinical practice, and relevant educational resources.
  • Complete required training and certification.
  • Conduct and document activities in accordance with Liquidia policies, Medical Affairs SOPs, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain appropriate separation between Medical Affairs education and promotional activities.
  • Report adverse events, product complaints, and other reportable information according to company procedures.
  • Protect patient privacy and remain within appropriate clinical and educational role boundaries.

Required Qualifications:
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN), or an equivalent combination of education and relevant clinical experience.
  • Experience in pulmonary hypertension or cardiopulmonary specialty care, with familiarity with prostacyclin-pathway or other complex specialty therapies; PH center experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive clinical nursing experience, including managing, educating, or supporting patients with complex chronic or specialty conditions.
  • Demonstrated experience educating healthcare professionals and communicating clinical information accurately, clearly, and confidently to a variety of professional audiences, with strong presentation and facilitation skills, including in-services, clinical training, and workshops.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a field-based environment while maintaining strong collaboration with internal colleagues.
  • Strong judgment regarding role boundaries, escalation pathways, compliance, and patient confidentiality.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, relationship-building, organizational, and communication skills.
