Job summary
South Texas Health System is seeking an Educator to support the learning needs of staff and patients, providing orientation, continuing education, and coaching. The Educator roles involve developing opportunities for acquiring new knowledge and skills to advance technology adoption and evidence-based practice.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with Texas RN licensure, and have or be pursuing a BSN with a 24-month goal.
Qualifications
- Must be an accredited nursing graduate with Texas RN licensure and current BLS.
- BSN preferred or must enroll in BSN program and complete within 24 months.
- ACLS/PALS as required with BLS, instructor trainer certifications within 2 years.
- CPI within 24 months; ENPC where required in unit.
Responsibilities
- Support learning needs of staff and patients by providing opportunities to acquire knowledge, skills, and behaviors.
- Coordinate orientation, continuing education, inservices, coaching and consulting to advance clinical practice.
- Ensure compliance with policies, code of conduct, and required trainings; report concerns as needed.
