Job summary

Role: The Clinical Nurse Educator (RN) supports nursing staff development through designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs, including orientation, competency validation, and ongoing professional growth.

Key Responsibilities: Develops evidence-based curricula aligned with organizational goals, manages orientation schedules, and maintains competency records. Acts as a mentor, facilitates diverse learning methods, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborates with academic partners, supports performance improvement initiatives, and participates in councils and committees. Communicates effectively with staff and leadership, providing feedback and promoting professional growth. Maintains clinical expertise with unit-specific skills, equipment, and technologies. Supports patient safety and organizational policies.

Qualifications & Skills: Current RN license, BLS certification, and clinical experience (minimum 2 years for Bachelor’s degree holders or 5-10 years for Associate degree holders). Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, and educational technologies. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Preferred: specialty certifications, teaching experience, and advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS.

Key Duties: Lead educational initiatives, foster a learning environment, support performance improvement, and serve as a resource for clinical staff. Collaborate with external academic partners and promote evidence-based practice. Maintain compliance and stay current with clinical standards.
