AdventHealth in Tarpon Springs, FL is seeking an experienced Nurse Educator to design curricula, develop educational programs, and guide learners across nursing practice levels. This role partners with bedside clinicians to enhance professional development and residency programs.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s of Nursing with RN licensure, and has experience in nursing education and research, with strong presentation and planning skills to improve patient care and clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN licensed with BLS and ACLS required.
• Bachelor's of Nursing degree required.
• 1+ education experience in acute care or academic setting.
• 5+ years nursing education preferred.
• 5+ years nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in Nursing Research preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs curricula, develops programs of study, guides learners and evaluates outcomes.
• Coordinates orientation of new staff and evaluates program effectiveness.
• Provides educational opportunities supporting nurses' career development (PEP) and residency programs.
• Assists clinicians with education planning and program improvement.

Job Description

Designs curricula, develops programs of study, guides learners, and evaluates learning outcomes. Incorporates principles of adult learning in planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs. Plans, prepares, and maintains materials for educational programs, ensuring accuracy and relevance to the target audience. Assists students and practicing nurses in identifying learning needs, strengths, and opportunities. Coordinates orientation of new staff, including agency personnel, into the organization. Evaluates the effectiveness of educational programming and adjusts content and teaching strategies based on learner needs. Tracks educational offerings and shares information with unit leadership as needed. Provides educational opportunities that benefit nurses in all stages of career development. Supports the bedside nurse with Professional Enhancement Program (PEP) and participates in residency programs as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
