Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL seeks a Clinical Nurse for the ED Hold unit. Under general supervision, you will deliver nursing care to patients, plan and implement care, document assessments, and communicate patient needs.

The ED Hold Unit provides inpatient and observation care for admitted Medical-Surgical and Cardiac patients, collaborating with the ED team. This full-time role requires Florida RN licensure and a degree from an accredited nursing program, with scheduled days Monday

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.

Description

Under general supervision, following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, delivers nursing care to patients. Plans and implements nursing care; documents nursing assessments; identifies and reports situations requiring further intervention; formulates and communicates goal-directed plan of care; assures patient rights. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital and principles of quality improvement.

The ED Hold Unit is a specialized inpatient nursing department located within the Emergency Department. Staffed by a dedicated inpatient nursing team, this unit provides care for admitted Medical-Surgical and Cardiac patients under both inpatient and observation status.

Care begins in the Emergency Department and is delivered in close collaboration with the ED nursing team. Patients with inpatient status are transferred to inpatient units as beds become available, while those under observation remain in the ED Hold Unit for the duration of their stay.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
