Job summary

BayCare is seeking an experienced RN for the Clinical Nurse Pool in Labor & Delivery in South Florida. You will work in a hospital setting, autonomously caring for a group of patients, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to implement care plans.

Responsibilities include developing and updating plans of care with patients and families, prioritizing patient needs, and ensuring a safe room environment. L&D experience and a valid RN license are essential.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• At least 18 months RN Labor & Delivery experience.
• Associates Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) are required or preferred.

• Collaborates with inter-disciplinary care providers to develop and assist in plan of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates the plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others.

Position Description: RN - Clinical Nurse Department Pool - Labor & Delivery

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

• The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.

Nursing Department Pool Commitment:

• Minimum of 4shifts per every 6 weeks
• One Saturday and one Sunday per 6 week schedule
• One Summer and one Winter Holiday

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse license
• At least 18 months RN Labor & Delivery experience
• Associates Degree in Nursing
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Location: South Florida Baptist Hospital

Status: Pool, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 6:45AM - 7:15PM

Shift: Shift 1

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Occasional

On Call: No
