Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to coordinate nursing care for Medical-Surgical Telemetry patients in a 165+ bed facility serving Cypress and northwest Houston.

The role requires current Texas RN licensure (or compact) within 90 days of hire, BSN preferred, and BLS certification. Prior Med-Surg experience and independent judgment are essential for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate or BSN (BSN preferred).
• Current Texas RN license or Multi-State Compact with Texas licensing requirement.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care for assigned patients to ensure quality outcomes.
• Provide care based on physical, psychological, safety and age-appropriate criteria.
• Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Lead collaborativly with ancillary staff to uphold professional nursing standards.

Work Scheduled: 3 days per week, 7a-7p/Rotating Weekends

What you will do in this role

• You will be responsible for coordinating the nursing care of assigned patients in the Unit in order to provide quality patient care.
• You will be responsible for knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the appropriate age populations.
• You will provide professional nursing care exercising independent judgment in utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate.
• You will provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

What qualifications you will need

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associates or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
• American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.
• 1-year of clinical Med Surg experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting required
