WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead the plan of care, coordinate testing, scheduling, and referrals for the patient population.

The role requires active RN licensure, BLS certification within 30 days, and strong collaboration with providers and departments; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state where services will be provided.
• eNLC multi-state license acceptable.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• Two years of RN experience or five years as LPN.

Responsibilities

• Provides hands-on nursing care according to department, patient and provider needs.
• Acts as first contact for patients, triage and provide medical advice where applicable.
• Coordinates the plan of care and liaises between providers, departments and schedulers.
• Monitors and manages patient appointments, testing and labs for the patient population.
• Assists with obtaining prior-authorizations for the patient population.
• Prepares educational material for patient use; educates and counsels patients.
• Provides specialized nursing assistance in research efforts when applicable.
• Provides advice, education and consultation to nursing staff of any unit.
• Attends conferences or educational opportunities to stay up to date.
