Job summary

Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL is seeking a Clinical Nurse for the 3F Pre - Post Procedural Unit. You will provide direct nursing care across the continuum of care in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.

The role requires rapid assessment, sound judgment and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes, with opportunities to work across GI, pulmonary, ophthalmology and trauma specialties. The position is on-site with full-time scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and be licensed as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in acute care, critical care, emergency, or PACU preferred.
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Description

The Clinical Nurse provides direct, comprehensive nursing care to patients across the continuum of care. The role requires rapid clinical assessment, sound judgment, and adherence to professional nursing standards in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. The Clinical Nurse plans, implements, and evaluates patient-centered care, safeguards patient rights, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. Practice is aligned with organizational values, quality improvement principles, and regulatory requirements.

Experience Qualifications

• Successful completion of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program, including exposure to acute care settings.
• Prior experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care, critical care, emergency, or specialty clinical setting.
• Experience managing high-acuity patients, rapid clinical decision-making, and interdisciplinary collaboration in fast-paced environments.
• Provide care to patients across a range of surgical specialties, including gastrointestinal (GI), pulmonary, ophthalmology, trauma, etc.
• Preferred 1-2 years of experience in Critical Care or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nursing.
