Join Penn Medicine, part of the University of Pennsylvania Health System, as a Clinical Nurse 2- Inpatient - Part-Time Days - PPMC Heart Failure/Thoracic Surgery – Cupp 3 South.

About the Role

Located in a 30-bed unit specializing in cardiovascular disorders and thoracic surgery, this role involves caring for patients requiring telemetry monitoring, post-interventional radiology, angioplasty, and thoracic surgical procedures, including those with complex conditions like Pulmonary Hypertension and Heart Failure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, competent nursing care, applying the nursing process and accepting accountability for patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and professional development.
  • Utilize technology and informatics effectively to support clinical decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Current Pennsylvania RN license.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science, preferably a BSN from an accredited institution.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Relevant professional nursing experience, ideally over 15 months, with participation in a Nurse Residency Program if applicable.
