Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant credential is listed in licenses and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assists the physician in assessing the needs of patients based on history, examination, and diagnostic data.
• Performs direct patient care including triage, procedures, education, discharge and follow-up instructions.
• Collects and documents vital signs, medical history and chief complaint.
• Maintains and prepares patient records, scans documents, and supports chart prep.
• Assists with tests and procedures (e.g., ECG, pulmonary function tests, labs) as needed.
• Prepares and administers medications as ordered by the physician.
• Schedules tests and referrals and communicates with patients by phone and MyChart.
