Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System in New York City is seeking a Medical Assistant Relations Associate who will perform EKGs, lab tests, PFTs, take vital signs, collect medical history and allergies, and maintain clean exam rooms while supporting efficient office operations.

You will admit patients, document treatments and communications, manage referrals, update insurance details in the EMR, balance ledgers, and ensure timely appointment scheduling and follow-up with physicians.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant with CMA/RMA credentials preferred.
• BLS/Heart Saver certification required or preferred.
• Phlebotomy and EKG technician credentials preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification by examination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs EKGs and lab testing as ordered.
• Performs PFT and collects patient histories and vital signs.
• Admits patients, documents treatments and communications.
• Manages referrals, EMR entries and insurance eligibility updates.
• Balances ledgers and handles cash with accountability.
• Schedules appointments and coordinates with physicians.
