Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or accredited Nursing program, or CMA/CRMA certification.
• New hires prior to 2018 grandfathered from education/certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care directly and via delegation.
• Assist with obtaining vital signs, weight, age, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and history.
• Document in the medical record and ensure accuracy for billing.
• Triages calls and directs patients as needed.
• Assist with testing and procedures under physician supervision.
• Maintain clean, stocked clinical areas and organized exam rooms.
• Ensure informed discharge instructions are understood by patients.
