Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved Medical Assistant program.
• 1 year of related clinical patient care experience within the last 5 years preferred.
• Demonstrated patient care and PC skills; effective communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and assesses their needs with sensitivity.
• Records vital signs, chief complaint, social history and medications in the chart.
• Assists providers with examinations, procedures and treatments per protocol.
• Performs ancillary services such as venipuncture and basic imaging per protocol.
• Maintains medical records and coordinates care via scheduling and messages.
