Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• At least one year as a physician-trained Medical Assistant in a similar setting.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Facilitates efficient patient flow including preparing the patient for the visit.
• Performs EMR documentation and maintains in-basket.
• Maintains and cleans environment, equipment, and reports malfunctions.
• Communicates with patients and care teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Engages in quality improvement and supports new services.
• Acts as clinical preceptor and trains new staff.
