Job Summary

We are seeking a clinical‑track faculty member at the rank of assistant/associate professor in the Division of Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry, with a joint appointment at the Comprehensive Cancer Center. The position will be based in the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital’s Head and Neck Service at the Wexner Medical Center.

Responsibilities
  • Provide full‑scope intraoral and extraoral maxillofacial prosthodontic care to patients.
  • Attend tumor board sessions and participate in clinical protocol development.
  • Administer administrative and supervisory oversight of professional and laboratory support staff.
  • Engage in research and scholarly activity that supports the division’s mission.
  • Participate in university and college governance, and contribute to continuing education programs.
  • Provide interdisciplinary mentoring to students and trainees.
  • Engage in biomaterials, clinical, and translational research opportunities.
  • Teach and support evidence‑based prosthodontics curricula.
Performance Objectives
  • Promote evidence‑based teaching skills and demonstrate proficiency in prosthodontics.
  • Show passion for student education and apply advanced technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Serve as course director, providing preparation and grading of examinations.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Must hold a DDS/DMD or equivalent and a certificate of advanced education in prosthodontics and maxillofacial prosthetics from a CODA‑accredited program.
  • Eligible for a regular or limited teaching license by the Ohio State Dental Board.
  • Preference for board‑certified candidates and those with significant administrative and clinical experience, including fabrication of extraoral prosthetics.
  • Board certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics is highly desirable.
