Job summary

CoreMap's mission is to improve the lives of people affected by atrial fibrillation. We are developing a high-resolution, real-time 3D electroanatomical mapping system to guide ablation therapy.

The Clinical EP Mapping Specialist will join a high-performing Data Science team, supporting clinical and preclinical data acquisition and interpretation, while gaining system-level understanding of a potentially game-changing technology in a fast-moving field.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required; MS in Biomedical Engineering preferred
• 2+ years in the cardiac field
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and arrhythmias
• Experience with EP ecosystem: RF/PF generators, EP recording system, pacing catheters, electrogram interpretation
• Experience with map-guided ablation workflows
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the CoreMap system for clinical and preclinical studies.
• Provide technical and clinical guidance during procedures.
• Document results and support post-procedure data analysis.
• Translate user needs into technical and design requirements with physicians.
• Gather data, ensure integrity, and prepare materials for submissions.
• Train clinicians and EP lab staff on CoreMap usage and protocols.
• Develop deep understanding of clinical cardiac electrophysiology.
• Travel up to 50% and stay current with medical device advances.

cardiac procedures to guide ablation therapy. Our system will generate novel maps of AF

using advanced statistical analysis of data acquired from our ultra high-resolution cardiac

The Clinical EP Mapping Specialist will be a key member of our high functioning Data Science

team, supporting important clinical and preclinical data acquisition and interpretation

activities. You will gain system-level understanding of a novel and potentially game- changing

technology in a fast-moving field and grow your career in design and R&D. Mapping the

electro-anatomical underpinnings of atrial fibrillation is one of the most difficult, most

important, and most potentially impactful challenges in the field of cardiac electrophysiology,

and CoreMap is poised to disrupt the field.

Responsibilities

• Support complex clinical and preclinical studies in the US and EU, including setting up and operating the mapping system, providing technical and clinical guidance during the procedure, documenting results, and supporting post-procedure data analysis to drive future system development.
• Work closely with leading EP physicians to gain voice-of-customer feedback and drive design requirements, support the systems engineering team in translating use and clinical needs into technical requirements, and work with clinical teams to define
• Gather data, ensure data integrity, review case data, and generate verifiable materials to support submissions to regulatory bodies and the generation of external facing materials including training materials and publications.
• Train clinicians and EP lab staff on CoreMap system usage and study protocols.
• Cultivate and apply deep understanding of clinical cardiac electrophysiology.
• Keep up to date with technology advances in the medical device industry.
• Travel is required up to 50% of the time.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of a BA/BS required, MS in Biomedical Engineer or similar desired.
• 2+ years working in the cardiac field.
• Working knowledge of cardiac anatomy, cardiac arrhythmias and basic electrophysiology.
• Experience with the EP ecosystem, including RF & PF generators, EP recording system, pacing and diagnostic catheters, and electrogram interpretation is preferred.
• Supported EP procedures with various workflows including anatomical signal-based, and map-guided ablation is preferred.
