Job summary

Amedisys seeks a Clinical Manager with an RN license to lead and oversee nursing staff at our Pulaski, VA location. This on-site role includes coordinating care, reviewing admissions, and ensuring high-quality patient care across the home health and hospice teams.

Responsibilities span staff supervision, scheduling, and collaboration with the director of operations to align clinical goals with patient needs, with travel as needed within the coverage area.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Current RN license for the assigned state(s).
• One year of clinical RN experience in home health or hospice.
• One year of RN management experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Recommends employment decisions for staff to the director of operations, including decisions to hire, fire, advance, promote or change status.
• Responsible for overall quality of patient care and clinical performance of nurses and aides.
• Organizes clinical operations for the care center.
• Reviews requests for services and determines patient eligibility/suitability for home care services. Works with intake in coordinating patient referrals and admissions.
• Oversees scheduling.
• Oversees payor verification and precertification requirements.
• Reviews documentation of other staff and ensures missing or untimely documentation is resolved.
• Assists clinicians in establishing goals and developing Plan of Care.
• Regularly evaluates patient needs and revises the plan of care.
• May provide direct patient care in emergencies.
• Participates in on-call process.
• Assists with training of staff to ensure quality care and fiscal responsibility.
• Participates in investigations of patient/family/physician concerns.

Full Time, Weekdays, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., work performed on-site in Pulaski, VA, with travel throughout coverage area as needed

Salary Range: $85,000 to $95,000

• May provide direct patient care on an infrequent basis in times of emergency.
• Participates in the on-call process.
• Assists with training of staff to ensure quality care, compliance and fiscal responsibility.
• Participates in the investigation and resolution of patient/family/physician concerns.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• One year of clinical RN experience in home health or hospice.
• One year of RN management experience.
• Current CPR certification.
