Job summary

Gateway CSB is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinic Supervisor to guide the Effingham Outpatient Clinic. You will supervise counselors, care managers, and certified peers, coordinate clinical work, and provide training and feedback to maintain high-quality behavioral health services.

Responsibilities include monitoring outcomes, planning staff development, overseeing crisis intervention, and ensuring clinical coverage across clinic sites while aligning with agency policies and KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a helping field and an independent license (GA) required.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • Experience guiding counselors and care managers.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral health practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision to counselors and care managers; train and give feedback.
  • Develop goals for staff and monitor progress.
  • Supervise staff across clinics and ensure clinical coverage.
  • Oversee crisis intervention and direct care where needed.

Job Summary: Under general supervision this position guides, coordinates, and evaluates the delivery of behavioral health and addictive disease services in the Effingham Outpatient Clinic. Provides clinical supervision to program counselors and care managers including training and feedback. Assists assigned locations with any clinical related issues that arise.Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Develop long and short-term goals for the behavioral health counselors and care managersParticipates in the agency’s strategic and operational planningSupervise and evaluate the performance of counselors, care managers and certified peer specialistsMaintain awareness of advances in behavioral health, to include evidenced based and best practicesMonitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services and programs in collaboration with Clinic Practice ManagersPlan, organize, and guide the clinical work of the clinic staff to provide continuous active treatment to the individuals servedSet priorities and implement goals and objectives to meet or resolve identified behavioral health problems through supervisionProvide and oversee clinical supervision of all S/T and intern staffOversee appropriate staffing processes and work with referral processesProvide clinical consultation (case study) with all counselorsReview all data reports impacting clinical work flow and services providedOversee crisis intervention in the clinics, providing direct care where neededProvide coaching and supervision as needed for any clinical issues arising with staffEnsure appropriate clinical coverage for services provided dailyAll ongoing clinical issues that cannot be addressed daily to be reported to the Clinical Director for any needed action/changesEvaluate employees at scheduled intervals, obtain and consider all relevant information in evaluationsand support staff by giving praise and constructive criticismMotivate, coach and mentor staff to improve quantity and quality of work performed and providetraining and development opportunities as appropriatePerform work according to all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines of the agencyAttend seminars, conferences and job related trainingsFollow agency policy and departmental protocol regarding work schedule, calling in when arriving late or when absent, break and lunch periods and observing provisions of Fair Labor Standards ActSubmit leave requests in advance (according to departmental protocol) for annual leave, personal leave, and foreseen sick leaveSubmit leave requests for unforeseen or emergency sick or personal leave immediately upon return to work and provide documentation for use of leave, as requiredPresent a neat and clean appearance. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This role provides basic employment support which requires employee to perform in loud/quiet environments, outdoors/indoors, etc. Travel between Gateway sites and in the community is required.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time at a computer. Employee frequently uses fine hand/eye coordination, hearing and visual acuity. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant condition caused by noise, dust, etc. Employee must be able to travel between Gateway sites.
