Minimum Qualifications

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

• Communication:
  1. Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, physicians, co-workers, and hospital personnel
  2. Documents completely and accurately

• Duties
  1. Discuss with patients their lab/x-ray results and provide necessary instructions under direction of physician
  2. Review charts daily for next-day appointments for completion
  3. Schedule procedures, tests, & appointments as instructed by physician and documented
  4. Document patient phone calls and prescription refills
  5. Perform capsule endoscopy
  6. Perform duties of a medical assistant in their absence
  7. Ensure recalls are kept current
  8. Verify pathology reports are received from hospitals for all inpatient and outpatient procedures
