Essential Duties

Under the general supervision of the Director of Sales, the Clinical Liaison is a key representative for cultivating quality relationships inside multiple medical facilities, being visible on a daily basis providing prompt service, informing medical staff, patients and family members regarding delivery, requesting medical documents when needed, while marketing a variety of SuperCare Health DME, respiratory therapies and/or infusion services.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinating all details of Durable Medical Equipment and Respiratory item deliveries to the Hospital room and to home with the Customer Care Specialist, Dispatcher and Respiratory Department.
  • Consulting with the patient and family on receiving the Durable Medical Equipment items to the patients’ room prior to discharge whenever possible, to reduce the number of deliveries to home or deliver to the home if needed.
  • Instructing patient/family and caregivers on the appropriate use of Durable Medical Equipment and Respiratory equipment when delivered to hospital room.
  • Consulting Director of Sales on any Durable Medical Equipment Respiratory orders for patients.
  • Monitor and report referrals from partnered healthcare systems vendors to other companies other than SuperCare Health.
  • Ensure partnered vendors and patients satisfaction by completing all procedural and requested follow through.
  • Maintain a professional and constant interfacing with patients Managed Care and Primary Medical groups to ensure all required pre-authorizations and proper coordination of services when applicable.
  • Complete and submit on time all required daily and weekly reports re: activities, patient and vendor interaction.
  • Review and maintain appropriate inventories of equipment in assigned storage/closets to maintain adequate inventory PAR levels set by SuperCare Health.
  • Provide Customer Care Department Specialists with essential information needed to properly process insurance or private pay billing.
  • Adhere to SuperCare Health's HIPAA policy and all company policies.
  • Submit completed approved business expenses in a timely manner and attend all department meetings and in-services scheduled.
  • Schedule ongoing community development activities, in-services and seminars on any new Durable Medical Equipment.
  • Receive and document orders for respiratory equipment and/or services from the customer service, patient, caregiver, physician or family member.
  • Collect additional information and/or documentation needed from insurance or physician.
  • Assess the needs of the patient and determine the best respiratory therapy or services needed.
  • Communicate with the patient's physician on changes in condition or needs and adjust the Plan of Care as required.
  • Complete patient accounts paperwork including Plan of Care treatment/assessments and support continuity of care as needed.
  • Act as liaison between SuperCare Health and the patient, family, caregiver and physician.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Department Leadership.
  • Be able to execute strategic planning and selling to referral sources, including pre-call planning, presenting benefits, and closing for the business.
  • Become an expert on core products of Respiratory Equipment and Supplies including ventilators, vests, oxygen, BiPAP, CPAP and related equipment and supplies.
  • Meet monthly sales goals and quotas to maximize commissions and drive revenue for the company.
  • Make presentations to physicians, home health agencies and hospitals regarding core products and services.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to walk long distances across large healthcare facilities.
  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment and miscellaneous items up to 75 lbs. on a daily basis.
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced healthcare facilities with emphasis on prompt deliveries and coordination of Durable Medical Equipment and services, with high level of communication with multiple partnered healthcare vendors. Demands include coordinating multiple discharges at one time, working under deadlines, and forwarding discharge information to SuperCare Medical and appropriate staff.
Work Experience Requirements
  • Graduate from accredited RT Care Program (licensed RCP).
  • Experience as Respiratory Therapist.
  • Thorough knowledge and skill related to the respiratory care field.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • People-sensitive characteristics with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and plan and prioritize activities to achieve results and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
