Job summary

Alpas Wellness Centers in La Plata, MD is seeking an Associate Clinical Director to partner with the Clinical Director, supervise the therapeutic team, and expand operational and administrative responsibilities on-site.

You will oversee day-to-day clinical supervision, staff development, and program quality, with the path to eventual Clinical Director responsibilities while maintaining a balanced caseload as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Current Maryland licensure permitting the practice of both Counseling and Supervision.
• Preferred licensure: Ph.D, Psy.D, LCPC or LCSW-C with supervisory license.
• Minimum of 4-6 years in behavioral health or substance use treatment with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems and establishing best practices.
• Familiar with Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group supervision to counselors, therapists, and clinical interns.
• Review and approve assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge plans.
• Monitor clinical documentation for quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Support staff in applying evidence-based practices for substance use and co-occurring disorders.
• Provide crisis consultation and clinical decision support, including after hours as the on-call clinical leader.
• Maintain a limited caseload as needed (assessments, therapy, family sessions, group facilitation).
• Train and mentor clinical staff on best practices, ethics, and trauma-informed care.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching with Sr. Director of Clinical Services.
• Lead onboarding and professional development of new hires and interns.
• Serve as acting clinical leader on-site when Sr. Director unavailable.
