Job summary

UCI Health in California seeks an Outpatient Specialty Pharmacy Clinical Lead to oversee clinical, administrative, and financial aspects of outpatient specialty pharmacy services. You will direct the specialty pharmacist team, drive quality initiatives, and help design programs such as MTM, immunizations, and travel clinics.

The role requires a Doctor of Pharmacy, active CA pharmacist license, and strong leadership and communication skills to grow the program and ensure compliant, high‑quality

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a licensed pharmacist in a hospital pharmacy or equivalent
• Qualifications to perform clinical oversight for the services provided
• Licensed to practice a health profession in the relevant jurisdiction
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree
• Active registered pharmacist license in good standing with the CA Board of Pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical, administrative and financial aspects of outpatient specialty pharmacy services
• Design, plan and implement pharmacy-related clinical programs
• Direct specialty clinical pharmacists and serve on the Specialty Pharmacy Quality Management Committee
• Lead quality improvement projects and policy/procedure development per URAC/ACHC
• Collaborate with pharmacy supervisors to market and grow outpatient specialty pharmacy services
• Ensure optimal reimbursement for high-cost specialty medications across UCI Health centers
• Oversee new drug reviews and development of MTM, immunization and Travel Clinic programs
• Provide guidance on clinical operations and decision-making for the program
