Job summary

The University of Oklahoma College of Law invites applications for a full-time, ranked-renewable term faculty member to teach and supervise students in the OU Legal Clinic beginning in the 2027-2028 academic year. This non-tenure-track position carries a nine-month academic year appointment.

We seek candidates with a J.D. or equivalent, active Oklahoma Bar status, and a commitment to clinical teaching, student supervision, and service to the profession and community.

Qualifications

• Must hold a J.D. or equivalent law degree.
• Active membership in good standing of the Oklahoma Bar by the start of appointment and eligibility to practice law in Oklahoma throughout the appointment.
• Experience with clinical teaching or supervising law students or junior attorneys is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach and supervise students in the OU Legal Clinic classroom component.
• Supervise students throughout client representation and ensure compliance with court rules and professional standards.
• Contribute to the intellectual and service life of the College of Law and to curricular development.
