Qualifications

• Basic qualifications: Candidate must hold a J.D. or equivalent international degree; admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Preferred qualifications include: 5 years of legal practice experience; ability to plan, develop, and manage the clinic's docket and operations; ability to supervise students in capital defense; ability to co-teach the clinical companion seminar; ability to supervise instructors/staff; commitment to an equitable, inclusive, interdisciplinary learning environment; demonstrated potential to contribute to the Law School's public mission through teaching, scholarship, mentorship, and service.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the Death Penalty Clinic; serve as a member of the Academic Senate with a teaching-focused track.
• Supervise and mentor students, ensure quality of clinical work, and oversee clinic operations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to advance Berkeley Law's public mission and engage in service and scholarship.
