Job summary

Medical Specialists of the Palm Beaches, Inc. (MSPB) is seeking a detail‑oriented Clinical Laboratory Technologist to support our Lake Worth-based lab. You will perform routine and complex testing across chemistry, hematology, immunology and urinalysis, ensuring accurate, timely results to guide patient care.

The ideal candidate holds an ASCP/AMT certification, FL licensure, 2–5 years of experience, and strong communication skills to collaborate with clinicians in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Medical Technology or related life science required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) required.
• Active Florida Medical Laboratory Technologist license required.
• Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) and automated instrumentation preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to patient care.
• Knowledge of data privacy standards and healthcare regulations.
• Flexibility to accommodate workflow demands and occasional extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing across chemistry, hematology, immunology, and urinalysis.
• Ensure accuracy, precision, and timely reporting of laboratory results.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analyzers.
• Adhere to QC and QA protocols; identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Enter, verify, and release results within the LIS.
• Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to clarify orders and communicate critical values.
• Ensure proper specimen handling and integrity.
• Support efficient lab workflow and adapt to changing volumes.
• Participate in validation studies and process improvements.
