Job summary

Air Combat Effectiveness Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to oversee and perform routine and STAT tests in Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, and Microbiology. You will ensure accuracy, documentation, and adherence to lab policies while collaborating with nursing and medical staff.

You will verify specimens, conduct calibration and QC, and manage troubleshooting with LIS and instrument systems, contributing to patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science field preferred.
• Current California Clinical Laboratory Technologist license required.
• BCLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient in English for physician and patient communication.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient name and MR number before specimen collection or testing.
• Perform calibration, quality control, and maintenance to ensure accuracy.
• Document tests, results, and instrument-related actions in LIS/policies.
• Handle STAT tests and ensure timely reporting of critical results.
• Follow department policies and escalate issues to supervisors as needed.
• Assist in training and uphold safety and regulatory standards.
