Job summary

Mass General Brigham Home Care, Inc. seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician I (MLTI) to perform specimen processing and testing under supervision. You will report waived and non-waived results and ensure accurate recordkeeping per laboratory procedures.

Requires an Associate's Degree in Laboratory Sciences or Medical Laboratory Technology and 2 years of lab experience; ASCP-BOC MLT credentials are preferred. Onsite position in Somerville, MA with standard laboratory duties.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in laboratory sciences or medical laboratory technology required.
• Lab experience of 2 years preferred.
• ASCP-BOC MLT credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling, test analyses, reporting and record keeping.
• Maintain records showing proficiency testing samples tested like patient samples.
• Adhere to QC policies, document calibrations and maintenance.
• Follow corrective action procedures when test systems are out of range.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and report to supervisor.
• Document corrective actions for deviations from specs.
