Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Team Leader to join our Burlington, NC facility. This role supports the daily operations of the department, supervises staff, and ensures quality test results are delivered.

The position involves a night shift (Mon-Fri, 10:00pm-6:30am) with opportunities for professional growth. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in a chemical/biological science and have several years of clinical lab testing experience, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 4+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• Experience supervising or leading a team is preferred.

• Assist with training of new hires and development of current employees.
• Inform supervisor of group progress, problems, and employee performance.
• Verify specimen acceptability for testing according to criteria.
• Perform routine and complex procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation for proper function.
• Prepare and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate test results to support quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control.

LabCorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Team Leader to join our team at our facility in Burlington, NC.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:00pm-6:30am

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the supervisor with the day to day operations of the Department/Lab Name department
• Send daily, weekly and monthly productions reports to management
• Assist with the training of new hires and the development of current employees
• Keep supervisor informed of group progress, problems, employee performance and any significant factors affecting assigned responsibilities
• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
• 4 years or more of clinical laboratory testing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• ASCP and/or AMT Certifications
• 6 months or more of supervising or leading a team

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirements
• Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
• Experience working in a high volume laboratory environment
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems
• High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortability making decisions in a changing environment
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
