Responsibilities

• Ensure specimens received by the laboratory are acceptable for testing and document results.
• Label, accession and distribute specimens to preserve patient identification throughout processing.
• Prepare reagents and controls as necessary and record in logs.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments; troubleshoot basic malfunctions.
• Perform gram stains, serology, ABORH typing, antibody detection, and crossmatching procedures.

Education
