Imperial Valley Family Care Medical is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to perform a variety of tests in chemistry, hematology, coagulation and immunology within a California licensed laboratory. The role includes operating instruments, ensuring quality control, and timely reporting of results.

The position supports both part-time and full-time schedules in Imperial, CA, with responsibilities that require independent work and collaboration with the clinical team.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license issued by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
• Must meet all applicable California requirements to perform testing within the scope of the position.
• Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory tests accurately and efficiently in accordance with established laboratory procedures and quality standards.
• Perform testing in areas including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, immunology, and other assigned laboratory disciplines.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and analyzers.
• Perform and document quality control procedures and review results for accuracy and acceptability.
• Analyze and validate patient test results and promptly report critical or abnormal results according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Follow all applicable laboratory safety, infection-control, quality-assurance, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents.
• Assist with specimen processing and other laboratory functions as needed.
• Perform additional laboratory duties within the scope of the CLS license.

Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) - Part-Time to Full-Time

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory tests accurately and efficiently in accordance with established laboratory procedures and quality standards.
• Perform testing in areas including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, immunology, and other assigned laboratory disciplines.

Licenses, Certifications & Qualifications
