Job summary

Adventist Health Mendocino Coast is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for a 13-week travel assignment at its 25-bed critical access hospital in Fort Bragg, CA.

The CLS will perform and evaluate a wide range of laboratory testing, review and document results, perform quality control, troubleshoot instrumentation, and ensure accurate specimen processing and reporting across Hematology, Coagulation, Blood Bank, Urinalysis, and Microbiology areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or related field.
• California CLS license is required.
• ASCP or NCA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and evaluate a wide range of laboratory testing across departments.
• Review and document results, perform quality control, troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Ensure accurate specimen processing and reporting.

Education

Facility / Lab Details

• 25-bed critical access hospital
• Provides both inpatient and outpatient laboratory services
• Phlebotomy coverage for inpatient and outpatient services: approximately 5:00 AM–9:30 PM
• Current department charting system reported as Cerner
• No call requirement
