Job summary

Adventist Health Clear Lake in Clearlake, CA seeks an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for a 13-week travel assignment supporting the hospital laboratory. Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing according to established procedures

• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation
• Perform venous and arterial specimen collection when required
• Maintain reagents, calibrators, controls and laboratory supplies
• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and coordinate technical support when needed
• Support regulatory and accreditation readiness
• Supervise Laboratory Assistants as needed
• Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards

Shift: Evening Shift – 1:00 PM–9:00 PM

Schedule: 5 × 8-Hour Shifts, Monday–Friday

Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Pay Rate: $52–$54/hour

Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,080–$2,160/week

The CLS will perform laboratory analysis on clinical specimens, evaluate quality controls and specimen integrity, maintain laboratory instrumentation, and ensure accurate and timely reporting of results.

Required Experience & Systems

• Minimum 2 years of experience in all aspects of the clinical laboratory


• EPIC experience – REQUIRED
