As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist for the U.S. Army, you will be responsible for the scientific research of biological fluids, such as blood or saliva for disease prevention. You will plan and execute laboratory testing and medical research, as well as providing advice, conducting research, and managing laboratory operations. To ensure your success as a laboratory scientist, you will attend trainings, continued education programs, seminars, and conference where you will be able to learn, compare best practices, and collaborate with other top professionals in your field. And, if you choose to serve in the Army Reserve, you will be able to serve your country as needed while still supporting your community.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must have a bachelor’s degree from a DA-approved accredited college or university
• Must have a certification in Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) with one-year work experience
• Must be a U.S. citizen for Active Duty
• Must have a permanent U.S. residency to serve in the Army Reserve
