Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our Core Laboratory on day shift (32 hours per week). The role involves accurate analysis of blood, tissue, urine and other body fluids using automated analyzers, manual methods, and rigorous QC.

You will interpret data, ensure specimen integrity, mentor students, and maintain safety standards while delivering timely results for patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a medical technology field is required.
• ASCP Certification or equivalent is required or AMT equivalence accepted.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate with clinicians and patients.
• Experience in an automated clinical laboratory is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analysis of body fluids and tissues and verify results.
• Provide professional customer service to clinicians, patients, and staff.
• Conduct quality control checks on procedures, equipment, and reagents; document data.
• Maintain ongoing competency and participate in continuing education (ACE).
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
