Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to perform analyses on biological specimens in Minnesota. This non-exempt role supports patient care and requires collaboration with Lab leadership, clinicians, and staff.

Qualified MTs/MLTs must have the appropriate degree/certification, and travel to other Mayo locations may be required. Overnight shifts are described with a two-year commitment noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a medical field is required.
• Moderate to advanced computer skills are required.
• Good written and oral communication skills, the ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adapt to changes.

Responsibilities

• Receive direction from Lab Manager, Regional Director and Laboratory Medical Director; work cooperatively with Administration, Physicians, Allied Health Staff, patients and residents.
• Perform analyses on biological specimens (e.g., blood and urine) to aid diagnosis and treatment; participate in operational support to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.
