Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Must be ASCP registered or equivalent.
• New graduates must obtain MT/MLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to perform testing in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment.
• Strong critical-thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing across multiple clinical laboratory sections.
• Process specimens and report accurate and timely patient results.
• Troubleshoot automated laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Follow established quality control, quality assurance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with laboratory policies and procedures.
• Participate in competency assessments, continuing education, and required training.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
• Provide professional and collaborative service to patients, providers, and other healthcare team members.
