Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• ASCP eligible or certification is preferred.
• One year of clinical laboratory training.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests according to established protocols and procedures.
• Operates and maintains laboratory instrumentation per established policies and procedures.
• Performs quality control testing and documents corrective action per established policy.
• Teaches/trains new employees and assists in competency assessment.
• Monitors inventory of supplies and orders supplies as necessary.
• Reports and documents critical values accurately and promptly.
