A leading clinical laboratory in Farmingdale, NY is seeking a Medical Technologist to support diagnostic operations. The role involves performing and verifying tests in Chemistry, Hematology, and Immunology, ensuring high-quality results. Candidates need an active New York State Medical Laboratory Scientist license and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Full-time position with a pay range of $39 to $53 per hour.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Medical Laboratory Scientist license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist preferred.
• Minimum of six months of experience in a clinical or research laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform and verify testing across laboratory disciplines including Chemistry, Hematology, and Immunology.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain complex laboratory instruments.
• Conduct quality control, proficiency testing, and preventive maintenance.
• Document and review assay performance, data integrity, and specimen tracking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional laboratory teams.
