Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to collect, process and analyze specimens across multiple sections. The role requires strong technical proficiency and strict adherence to QC/QA protocols.

Responsibilities include performing tests in Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology as needed, with weekend, overnight, and holiday shifts required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (MT), MLS, or CLS or related field with NAACLS-recognized certificate.
• Experience with medical laboratory procedures and instruments is required.
• Knowledge of Blood Bank theory and clinical chemistry is essential.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and specimen collection techniques is expected.

Responsibilities

• Collect, receive and process specimens safely and accurately.
• Perform clinical testing using automated, semi-automated, and manual methods.
• Maintain QC/QA procedures and instrument maintenance; troubleshoot issues.
• Communicate critical values to providers and colleagues; document results.
