Job summary

GBMC Hospital in Towson, MD is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform diagnostic laboratory tests across waived to highly complex levels. You will ensure sample integrity, calibrate instruments, and report accurate results to clinicians.

Responsibilities include quality control, documentation, and training of students and staff within a collaborative laboratory team that upholds GBMC Values of Respect, Excellence, Accountability, and Teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or equivalent.
• Experience in clinical laboratory settings or related science.
• AS degree with related clinical lab experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing from waived to highly complex procedures.
• Calibrate, run quality checks and maintain instruments.
• Prepare reagents and media following procedures.
• Document quality control and take corrective action as needed.
• Orient and supervise students/new staff; participate in CE activities.
