Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking a laboratory technician to support analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids in Rochester, MN. The role involves operating and maintaining instruments, troubleshooting assays, and assisting with result interpretation to help diagnose and treat patients.

Shifts are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential 7:00 AM starts during training. The position is a 1-year contract requiring strict safety protocols and cross-system data reporting.

Responsibilities

• May assist with specimen collection and adhere to safety protocols for infectious samples and hazardous materials.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, instrument operation and maintenance, troubleshooting assays, evaluating tests for accuracy, assisting with interpreting results, and operational support activities to optimize testing. The role also involves working with multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report results. The position may require working with minimal supervision and assisting with specimen collection. Strict adherence to safety protocols is essential when working with infectious specimens, chemicals, and other hazards.

Schedule Notes

Shift Details: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts from 8am to 4:30pm. May need to start as early as 7am during training to align with the trainer's schedule.
