Job summary

Woodlands Cancer Institute in The Woodlands and Conroe, TX is seeking a part-time healthcare professional to perform routine laboratory testing, quality control, phlebotomy and instrument maintenance. You will prepare specimens for examination and operate hematology and point-of-care analyzers.

Qualifications

• High School education is required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a lab setting is required.
• Strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills are expected.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with sensitive information.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications is required.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine blood tests and manual/automated testing.
• Prepare specimens for microscope examination and maintain equipment.
• Carry out quality control procedures and instrument maintenance.
• Document logs and assist with compliance and safety requirements.
• Support a multi-site lab environment and collaborate with staff.
