Job summary

The technician will perform phlebotomy, maintain safety standards, and assist in updating manuals while contributing to CAP/JCAHO readiness

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical procedures and testing across chemistry, microbiology, hematology, immunology, urinalysis, serology, parasitology, and blood banking.
• Maintains and reviews quality control and instrument maintenance; participates in proficiency testing (CAP).
• Performs phlebotomy on pediatric and adult patients; ensures safety and infection control practices.
• Prepares reports and documents; assists in updating procedure manuals and maintaining accreditation readiness.
• Cross-trains to operate in multiple laboratory areas and ensures accurate results with instrument calibration and preventative maintenance.
