Job summary

The Medical Laboratory Technician/Scientist (MLT/MLS) at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. performs and monitors a range of laboratory analyses to deliver accurate results for clinical diagnoses and treatments.

You will work within a collaborative team, following established procedures to ensure safety and accreditation standards. Key duties include specimen processing, phlebotomy at select locations, QC checks, LIS data entry, and maintenance of analytical equipment.

Qualifications

• MLT requires an Associate’s Degree; MLS requires a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Proficiency in quality control and regulatory standards.
• Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens per established protocols.
• Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture as needed.
• Operate and maintain analytical laboratory equipment.
• Record and verify results in the LIS.
• Adhere to QC procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with team and other departments.
